A luxury home builder based in Oshawa

Oshawa is home for us. Our office is here, so a build in the city means our team is never far from your site. When a question comes up on site, someone can be there the same day.

The city stretches from the Lake Ontario shoreline north into farmland and hamlets such as Raglan and Columbus. That gives Oshawa an unusual mix of building opportunities in one municipality, from a narrow lot in an older neighbourhood to several acres in the country.

Infill lots and rural Oshawa

Many custom homes in Oshawa replace an older house on an existing lot. That brings its own checklist: disconnecting old services and demolition, the zoning for the lot, setbacks and height, mature trees, drainage onto neighbouring properties, and keeping the street and the neighbours in mind during construction. We review all of this before design starts, so the house is planned around what the lot allows.

North of the urban area, lots are larger and quieter, but usually rely on a well and a septic system and may sit near creeks regulated by the Central Lake Ontario Conservation Authority (CLOCA). The house, the septic bed and the driveway are placed together, so one does not limit the other later.

Frequently asked questions

Can't find your answer? Tell us about your project and ask us directly.

Can I tear down my house in Oshawa and build a new one?
In most cases, yes. You will need a demolition permit and a building permit from the City of Oshawa, and the new house has to meet the current zoning for the lot, including setbacks, height and lot coverage. We check those limits first so the design fits from the start.
Do rural lots in north Oshawa need a septic system?
Most do, because municipal sewers do not reach the rural area. The septic system is designed and approved as part of the permit, and its location affects where the house and driveway can go, so we plan them together.
Where is your office?
Our head office is in Oshawa, so we can get to sites anywhere in the city quickly. Our contact details are at the bottom of every page.
