What building in Lindsay involves
Building permits are issued by the City of Kawartha Lakes. Lots along the Scugog River and other low-lying areas may be regulated by Kawartha Conservation for flooding and shoreline protection, and any work in or along the water on the Trent–Severn Waterway also involves Parks Canada.
In town, the zoning sets the size and setbacks of a new house. Outside town, most properties use a well and septic system. We check what applies to your lot before design starts.
