Designing a cottage for a sloped lot

Many Cameron Lake lots slope down to the water. A cottage on a slope can have a walkout lower level, decks that step down the hill and a path to the dock, but it also needs careful planning for drainage, the septic bed and access for deliveries.

We look at the grade first, then shape the cottage around it, so you get the most out of the view without fighting the land.

Can you build a cottage on a steep Cameron Lake lot?
Usually, yes. A sloped lot often suits a walkout lower level and decks that step down to the water. We plan the drainage, septic and access with the design.
Can a cottage be used in the winter?
If it is built as a four-season cottage, with the insulation, heating and water system to match. We decide this with you at the start.
Do you build bunkies?
