Residential Construction Project Coordinator

Managing all stages of a project we offer a complete solution for our client's needs.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will join our team supporting our Project Manager in coordinating the building of our residential projects.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Assisting and supporting the Project Manager in the daily duties
  • Creating packages for construction commencement for the trades and the project manager, including drawings, specifications, and building permits
  • Creates and maintains comprehensive project documentation
  • Plays an active role in records management, budget tracking, and scheduling
  • Schedules subtrades and equipment with the direction of the construction manager
  • Prepares meeting minutes, reports, and other documents.
  • Attends site visits and Clients’ meeting.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Construction knowledge/experience (preferably in residential)
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and related documentation
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, prepare word documents, spreadsheets, presentations, etc.
  • Team player with excellent listening skills; willingness to work with multiple different colleagues on a variety of initiatives
  • Ability to work in a high-paced environment with a sense of urgency
  • Outstanding oral communication, written and presentation skills
  • Strong organizational skills – ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Consultative, service-oriented mindset and collaborative problem-solving skills
  • Proactive and goal-oriented, with the ability to work independently and manage change effectively​

Carpenter

 

Job description

Founded in 1988, Henley Contracting has developed a strong reputation and client base throughout the Durham Region and the City of Kawartha Lakes, in both residential and commercial contracting fields. Managing all stages of a project we offer a complete solution for our client's needs.

We are currently looking for a Carpenter in all aspects of carpentry to work full-time with our senior carpenters to get quality hands on experience.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Material and tool handling
  • Assist with demolition, framing, drywall, mudding, painting, trims, flooring installation, and other aspects of construction
  • Maintaining cleanliness of job site

Qualifications Required:

  • Set of tools and personal protective equipment
  • Drivers license and personal vehicle
  • Previous construction experience is an asset
  • Strong communication and customer service skills

Duties will be physically demanding, requiring strength, fitness and lifting in excess of 60lbs.
